Kitchens

William L. Ventolo
As the control center of the
house, the kitchen is crucial to any discussion of interior
planning. In the old days the kitchen, with its fireplace in
constant use, was the only regularly heated room in a house. It
was the gathering place for the family. Families cooked, ate, talked,
studied, played games and even bathed in the kitchen. As time
passed, these activities moved one by one to other rooms, until the
kitchen became a small room that was used only for the preparation of
food. Now the pendulum has swung back. Kitchens are getting
bigger and are becoming multipurpose rooms again. Today the
kitchen is the most used room in the house.
Tip from Crossett Real Estate Services:
Check kitchen equipment: appliances/are they clean & in working order? missing parts? Kitchen range/refrigerator/dishwasher/disposal? How is the water pressure/drainage? any leaks?
